VALCOURT CREATES SAFESITE VIDEO. The lights! The camera! The Hollywood glamour!

Well, two out of three, anyway, as Valcourt Building Services created a video detailing the benefits and innovations of the all-new comprehensive SafeSite Advantage risk-management program for their Window Cleaning Division. “This was a new experience for Valcourt,” noted COO Jon Capon. “We never used multimedia presentations in the past, but SafeSite is such an important and ambitious step forward, we needed a way to communicate its benefits quickly and clearly. SafeSite is the first program of its type anywhere, so it’s fitting that we should produce our first-ever corporate video to introduce SafeSite.”
The two-day shoot took many of Valcourt’s Windows Division General Managers and SafeSite Directors to the rooftops of Northern Virginia, various training facilities and an assortment of Valcourt branch offices. No unseen narrators here; Valcourt’s own people outlined the various benefits of SafeSite directly to the camera.
Shot by local Virginia production company G14 Media under the direction of Agency 51 Advertising, the four-minute video shows how Valcourt’s innovative SafeSite program was created and developed. The video features the full range of Valcourt staffers, from window cleaners to top management, and shows how many departments and how many people work daily in support of Valcourt’s window cleaning projects.
“We started by writing the first draft of the script three months before the actual shoot,” says Agency 51 Creative Director David Witz. “From that point, everyone involved with SafeSite helped the video take shape. While the scripting process was going on, we were busy scouting rooftops and various Valcourt offices and training facilities. We also lined up everything else that was needed, from transportation to makeup.”
The finished SafeSite introductory video premiered mid April, when Valcourt personnel up and down the East Coast viewed the early release together online. “Everyone did great, “said Derek Dabbs, Valcourt’s VP, Window Cleaning Division. “Now, if anyone needs me, I’ll be lounging in my talent trailer.”
